The 2026 calendars for IndyCar support series USF Pro 2000, USF2000 and USF Juniors have been released.

Third-tier series USFP2000 will start off on the undercard of the Arlington Grand Prix, a new street race in Texas taking place on March 13-15. Fourth-tier USF2000 action will kick off two weeks prior on the streets of St. Petersburg.

The two series head to Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s road course two months later, then have their first oval race (and first race away from IndyCar’s support bill) of 2026 at Lucas Oil Raceway before reuniting again at Road America in June.

The round at Mid-Ohio (July 3-5) is the first time all three Andersen Promotions-run series race together, then August is a packed month. USFP2000 and USF2000 race at Portland, followed by the streets of Markham as it replaces fellow Canadian city Toronto on IndyCar’s calendar, and two weeks after that USFP2000 visits the Milwaukee Mile.

It will mark the first time since 2022 that USFP2000 has had two oval races, and ends a lengthy absence from Milwaukee having previously raced there in 2006, ’09, 2011, ’13 and ’14.

Next year’s racing schedule for the three series concludes at Road America on September 25/26, which will be a standalone event for which USFP2000 will have top billing.

USF Juniors will spend the most time away from IndyCar’s support paddock, as rounds at Homestead-Miami Speedway (February 17/18) and Carolina Motorsports Park (April 17-19) get its season underway. Both circuits are new to the series.

It then heads to Mosport on May 15-17 for a first ever trip to Canada, before joining all of the series above it in the Road to Indy at Mid-Ohio.

Round five is at Lime Rock, another new addition which will be in support of the NASCAR Truck Series, and the season ends at Road America.

Dropping off all three series’ schedules is NOLA Motorsports Park, with USFP2000’s Arlington trip coming at the expense of St. Pete and USF Juniors’ new venues joining as Barber Motorsports Park and Portland are dropped.

There will be a pre-event test day for the events at Homestead, Carolina, Indianapolis, Mosport, Lucas Oil Raceway, Road America, Mid-Ohio and Portland.

The three series will also test together in-season at Mid-Ohio (May 11/12) and Road America (June 10/11) then post-season on Indianapolis’s road course (October 17/18), while USFP2000 and USF2000 will test at Homestead on the same days USF Juniors races there.

USFP2000 and USF2000 will do further in-season testing at Indianapolis (April 15/16) and Lucas Oil Raceway (May 19), there will be a USFP2000-only test at Milwaukee (June 22) and a USF Juniors-only test at Lime Rock (July 7).

Andersen Promotions has also confirmed the prize money allocation for 2026, with the USFP2000 champion earning a $594,500 (£450,862) scholarship to spend on graduating to Indy Nxt. The USF2000 champion wins $405,050 (£307,185), and USF Juniors’ champion takes away $249,675 (£189,351).

Tyre supplier Continental Tire will pay out $53,000 (£40,186) to pole position-winning drivers over the year.

Andretti Global’s Dennis Hauger earned his sixth Indy Nxt victory of 2025 at Portland last weekend by overtaking Myles Rowe and Caio Collet in the opening seconds of the race.

Collet (HMD Motorsports) covered the inside line on the run to the opening corner, with fellow front row starter Rowe (Abel Motorsports with Force Indy) looking to his outside as soon as they crossed the start line.

Once they went past the end of the pit wall, there was more room on the inside to utilise and Hauger put most of his car over the pit exit line. He was now level with Rowe, and moved past under braking for turn one where he took the tightest line.

By reaching his minimum speed for the corner earlier, Hauger was able to accelerate out if it earlier too and he could carry more speed through the direction switch of turn two. Room was left too by Collet riding the inside kerbs, and Hauger swept by on the outside.

“I was looking a lot at the start [beforehand],” Hauger told media including Formula Scout afterwards.

“It was just [about] trying to find different scenarios. And in the end it worked out pretty well. Caio was a bit focused on Myles, who got out on the outside and got a run. I just saw a little bit of room into the inside and took it.

“I saw that worked last year. It was a good move and happy we made it stick, no collision and we all came out clean. That’s not the easiest in turn one on lap one in Portland. So from there on it was just about keeping it clean, not doing too many mistakes, and be smart with the push-to-pass.”

Collet called it “very frustrating” how he lost the lead, and after finishing a close second behind Hauger now trails him in their title fight by a points tally exceeding what can be scored in one round. Only two remain this season.

“I did the mistake of looking at Myles, and I think we both overshoot a little bit turn one. And when I saw Dennis on the outside, he was already ahead, so it was just too late to react.

“But fair play to him. He found a really good gap, made a great move, and I didn’t even see it coming,” he added.

“So a mistake from my side, but I think after that the race was quite okay. I kept pressuring to the end, but he did a really good job again on not doing any mistakes.”

A caution period was triggered on lap one by cars clashing behind at the opening chicane, and for the lap four restart Collet thought “the chance of having a collision there if I went on the outside was huge”.

Rowe had targeted at least maintaining position in the race, but “Dennis made a stellar move on the inside though, so nothing too much we could do about that”.

Teddy Musella won the final race of the USF2000 season at Portland to become championship runner-up by one point.

Drivers’ second-best laptimes from qualifying once again set the grid, putting champion Jack Jeffers (Exclusive Autosport) on pole ahead of Musella (Velocity Racing Development), Evan Cooley (Exclusive), Sebastian Garzon (DEForce Racing) and Thomas Schrage (VRD).

Schrage entered the race 19 points ahead of Musella, but contact at the opening corner earned him a drive-through penalty which was handed out on lap six. At that point he was third, having overtaken Cooley on lap two.

Jeffers had locked up into turn one and Musella had to fend off Cooley through turn four on lap one. After doing so, he began closing in on Jeffers and forced the leader to cover the inside line as lap six started after two tours in his mirrors.

Musella locked up and the pressure on Jeffers was eased as Schrage then homed in. But he served his penalty without delay, and spent lap seven in 16th place.

Garzon had fallen to sixth behind Pabst Racing’s Caleb Gafrarar on the opening lap and picked up front wing damage from contact with Schrage, but got back past Gafrarar on lap three. He had then squeezed past Cooley through the opening chicane on lap six, so inherited third once Schrage took his penalty.

He had no answer to the top two’s pace though, and soon Musella was on Jeffers’ rear again. The champion began lap 11 defending rigorously and remained ahead, then was looking more comfortable again until race control decided that Jeffers had blocked Musella earlier on and needed to let him past.

Musella took the lead on the inside into turn one on lap 15 of 25, and Jeffers tried coming back at him at turn four and then again at turn 10 where there was almost contact as he attempted to put his car on the inside.

Jeffers suffered the effect of dirty air thereon and finished 1.4586s behind Musella, as attention switched to Schrage. He had gaps of over 10s to make up on drivers towards the back, but in clean air he set the fastest lap and earned a crucial point.

After eventually making it to 13th past VRD’s Ryan Giannetta, he then hunted down Pabst’s G3 Argyros and got him into turn one on the penultimate lap. But he ran out of time to get 12th place, the position he needed to stay ahead of Musella in the standings.

Cooley got close to Garzon for third late on, and Jay Howard Driver Development’s Brad Majman charged up to fifth from 12th despite missing the race’s opening corners.

Max Garcia ended his title-winning rookie USF Pro 2000 season at Portland with his ninth victory, as Ariel Elkin snatched second in the standings.

The champion started from pole, for the ninth time this year, as his second-best laptime from qualifying earned him first place on the race two grid by 0.0428 seconds over Exclusive Autosport’s Mac Clark.

Velocity Racing Development’s Frankie Mossman was only 0.0526s off pole in third, then 0.0162s split Alessandro de Tullio (Turn 3 Motorsport), Jacob Douglas (Pabst) and Max Taylor (VRD) in the next three places. Taylor was 0.2589s slower than Garcia and the last driver who qualified with a sub-1m08s lap, with TJ Speed’s Elkin next up in seventh.

Clark, who began the race second in the championship, was put on the back foot after attempting to fight Garcia heading into the opening corner. Contact as the field compressed into the corner left Clark with front wing damage and he went a lap down after pitting. But he continued in the pursuit of unlapping himself.

The pace car was brought out on lap eight after TJ Speed’s Miles Bromley went into the turn 11 barriers. Racing resumed on lap 12, only for a turn one incident to trigger another caution period.

Four drivers had attempted to go side-by-side, leading to widespread damage and Turn 3’s Brady Golan going into the barriers. VRD’s Max Taylor was among those caught, and dropped to the back after pitting for repairs.

Racing resumed on lap 16, and this time the field went single file through the first corners.

Garcia was now followed by de Tullio, Elkin, Mossman and the lapped Clark. As Elkin defended against Mossman and Clark, Garcia and de Tullio were able to pull away in the race’s second half and a mistake-free Garcia won by 6.948s.

De Tullio finished over 14s clear of the fight for third, which Douglas joined and a lapped Taylor got involved in.

Clark and Taylor found a way past Mossman, then unlapped themselves on Elkin shortly afterwards as they battled each other for 11th. Taylor won their duel, leaving Clark hoping that Elkin would lose places to be championship runner-up.

Mossman briefly got ahead of Elkin with a move around the outside, only to slip backwards late in the race and finish ninth. Douglas was the next to take on Elkin, and overtook him to complete the podium.

Sebastian Manson could not get close enough to his team-mate to take fourth from him, and Elkin met the chequered flag one point ahead of Clark in the standings.

Exclusive Autosport’s Carson Etter came up behind the TJ Speed drivers late on but had a limited chance of making up further ground after starting 15th. He finished sixth, ahead of DEForce Racing’s Jorge Garciarce and Turn 3’s early pitter Tyke Durst.

Joey Brienza had an eventful race. The Exclusive Autosport driver was in the incident that caused the second caution period, then after serving a drive-through penalty finished 10th.

Andretti Global’s Dennis Hauger claimed his sixth Indy Nxt victory of 2025 at Portland.

Hauger took the lead of the race on the opening lap, as team-mate and title outsider Lochie Hughes got caught up in an incident.

After an early caution period, HMD Motorsports’ Caio Collet was able to stay with Hauger, but could not find a way past the race leader. Collet dropped back slightly in the closing stages of the race, and Hauger secured victory by 0.9353 seconds.

Hauger started third on the grid, behind Collet and Abel Motorsports with Force Indy’s Myles Rowe. As the front row starters went side-by-side into turn one, Hauger hung close to the pit wall and appeared to cross the pit exit line on approach to the opening corner.

That put Hauger on the outside at turn two, and he managed to hold on and pull off a double pass on Collet and Rowe to move ahead.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Bryce Aron, who started fifth, was spun around midway through the corner. Several drivers took to the runoff area to try avoiding the incident, including Hughes. It did not go to plan for him, and he had to pit for a new front wing.

Others in the melee made it back to the pits but Aron was unable to restart and the pace car was brought out to clear his car.

After the caution period, there was little movement at the front of the order. Collet kept the pressure on Hauger early on, but the championship leader did not put a wheel wrong.

Collet had a buffer of around two seconds back to Rowe, who enjoyed a quiet race to collet another podium finish in third.

Andretti’s Salvador de Alba challenged Abel Motorsport’s Callum Hedge for fourth in the opening laps. He in turn was kept under pressure from HMD’s Tommy Smith.

Hedge managed to hold off de Alba then pull away to comfortably finish fourth, while Smith came under attack from those behind. Chip Ganassi Racing’s Niels Koolen was the first to find a way past him, and was soon followed through by Andretti Cape’s returning driver Michael d’Orlando.

Abel’s Jordan Missig, who suffered front wing damage in the lap one incident but opted to continue, was next to attack Smith. The loose front wing did not hamper him too much, as Missig found a way past Smith along with HMD’s Juan Manuel Correa. He then kept Missig under pressure until the chequered flag, with the pair separated by 0.5446s at the finish.

After his trip through the pits, Hughes managed to climb up to 10th by the chequered flag. He remains mathematically in the title fight with only two races remaining.

Zanella Racing’s Ty Fisher concluded the USF Juniors season at Portland with his third victory of 2025, despite being penalised.

Drivers’ second-best laptimes from qualifying were once again used to set the grid, putting Zanella’s champion Leonardo Escorpioni on pole ahead of Rodrigo Gonzalez (DEForce Racing), Oliver Wheldon (Velocity Racing Development), Fisher, Joao Vergara (VRD), Liam Loiacono (JHDD) and Patricio Gonzalez (DEForce).

Wheldon took second place on lap one, and further down the order there was drama at turn two as International Motorsport’s Michael Suco was spun around and a caution period was called.

The lap three restart was messy, and led to another caution period. Loiacono lost his front wing and picked up further damage on the pit straight before ploughing into the advertising boards in the runoff, and Pole Position Motorsports’ Connor Aspley came in too fast into turn one and spun around International Motorsport’s Hudson Potter. Aspley was penalised 30 seconds and Potter was without damage but was beached as the rear of his car sat on the turn one kerbs.

Racing resumed again on lap six, and Wheldon fell to fourth behind Fisher and Patricio Gonzalez. Fisher overtook Escorpioni on lap seven, then rapidly built a five-second lead. He needed to do that due to a five-second penalty for corner cutting, and once it was applied he was victorious by 2.9782s.

Wheldon continued losing places and eventually pitted on lap nine, leading to him finishing a lapped 17th.

Patricio Gonzalez then had Vergara and Rodrigo Gonzalez on his tail, with the two behind swapping places on lap 10. Vergara got back ahead on lap 12, but on the final lap Gonzalez and Zanella’s Diego Guiot went past him.

Exclusive Autosport’s Justin Di Lucia climbed from 14th to seventh in his third USF Juniors race, and VRD’s Matan Achituv recovered to 12th after spinning at turn two mid-race.

Jack Jeffers became the USF2000 champion at Portland after two days battling with title rival Thomas Schrage.

Velocity Racing Development’s Schrage beat Exclusive Autosport’s Jeffers to race one pole by 0.0123 seconds, and they almost came to blows after a few seconds as Jeffers took the outside line into turn one then found no room to stay on track at the corner due to Schrage already preparing his car for the direction change of turn two.

Schrage cut the corner entirely, but it was inconsequential as chaos behind led to red flags. Jay Howard Driver Development’s Timothy Carel drove over the back of Pabst Racing’s G3 Argyros then rotated upside upside down as he continued to fly through the air towards turn one.

The next driver he wiped out was Exclusive’s Lucas Fecury, whose team-mate Evan Cooley was sliding sideways into turn one ahead. Cooley had already crashed into the pit wall and Fecury before crossing the line at the rolling start, but avoided being struck by Carel as he rolled several more times in the air.

The race was restarted behind the pace car using the original grid, with one lap officially already in the books. Green flags waved on lap three and Jeffers again took the outside line at turn one.

That was the closest he got to Schrage for a while, as he built a 0.98s lead. Jeffers began closing back in on lap 12 of 25, and Schrage responded to go a second clear but began lap 18 defending against his rival. They were super close starting lap 21 too, but the pressure was absorbed by Schrage to take victory and keep the title fight going.

VRD’s Teddy Musella was third with a damaged nose, only briefly facing mid-race pressure from Pabst’s Caleb Gafrarar who had to fight past DEForce Racing’s Sebastian Garzon twice.

Synergy Motorsport’s Eddie Beswick finished sixth, and VRD’s Ryan Giannetta came home 11th after wing damage slowed him down.

Jeffers’ second-best qualifying lap put him on race two pole by 0.1096s over Musella, with Cooley 0.219s behind in third. It also meant he had one hand on the title as Schrage’s race one fastest lap left him fourth on the grid, ahead of Garzon and Gafrarar.

Musella missed the opening corners on lap one, gifting Cooley second, and Gafrarar dropped down the order too.

Jeffers had to defend into turn one on lap two, then Cooley went off at turn 10 and fell behind Garzon, DEForce team-mate Jeshua Alianell, Schrage and Musella.

It took seven laps for Jeffers to build a one-second lead, during which time Alianell lost two places on successive laps. On lap nine he and JHDD’s Brad Majman spun after contact at turn one, promoting JHDD’s Anthony Martella and Argyros to fiftyh and sixth.

Jeffers was now stretching his legs, and after Schrage went down Garzon’s inside at turn six on lap 11 he was already trailing by three seconds. He could match the leader’s pace but not cut the gap, and Jeffers became champion with victory.

Garzon locked up into turn one on the penultimate lap and lost his front wing as he cut the chicane, which handed third to Musella. Martella won his back-and-forth-battle with Argyros for fifth.

Caio Collet snatched Indy Nxt pole position at Portland with his final lap in qualifying, denying title rival Dennis Hauger.

As at previous events this season, the field was split into two groups and Abel Motorsports with Force Indy’s Myles Rowe was fastest in the first. He therefore held onto the fastest lap and provisional pole until Collet’s last lap, when the HMD Motorsports driver went faster by 0.216 seconds.

It was a troubled qualifying session for Collet. Before any of the drivers could set a representative laptime in group two, Abel Motorsports with Miller Vinatieri Motorsports’ Jack William Miller brought out red flags.

The field had been battling for track position as they exited the pits and Miller went side-by-side with HMD’s Josh Pierson at one point. The pair were single-file again when Miller lost control of his car at turn eight, possibly with damage to his front-right tyre. He went straight on and hit the barriers, bringing the session to a stop.

When running resumed just six minutes remained. Andretti Global’s Hauger jumped to the top of the times ahead of Collet, but he soon responded with another flying lap.

Collet briefly occupied first place before being handed a drive-through penalty that may have only lasted for a few moments but compromised two laps as a result. By the time he returned to setting a flying lap, Hauger was leading the way again but still had not beaten Rowe’s group one benchmark.

As he took the chequered flag, Collet improved to 1m03.3595s to beat Hauger and Rowe. Although Hauger also improved on his final lap to better Rowe, he was 0.0557s slower than Collet and so will line up third for Sunday’s race.

Group one was less dramatic. Abel Motorsports’ Callum Hedge topped the times early on before being surpassed by Rowe.

He put in multiple flying laps, gradually dropping the benchmark to 1m03.5755s that ended up earning him second on the grid.

Hedge was just 0.043s slower than Rowe in group one, putting him alongside Hauger on row two, and Chip Ganassi Racing’s Bryce Aron qualified fifth after jumping up the order on his penultimate lap in group two to sit 0.4689s behind Collet and third in the group.

Andretti’s Salvador de Alba was third fastest in group one, 0.2731s off Rowe, and he starts the race from sixth.

HMD’s Nicholas Monteiro qualified 15th for his Indy Nxt debut, having been 1.5953s off the pace and eighth fastest in group two, while Andretti Cape’s returnee Michael d’Orlando bounced back from his practice crash to be eighth in group one and only 0.5041s off Rowe’s benchmark.

Leonardo Escorpioni was crowned USF Juniors champion with a race to spare by winning the season’s penultimate race at Portland.

The Zanella Racing driver started on pole, and cut the opening corner to stay ahead. He already had a gap by turn three, as DEForce Racing’s Rodrigo Gonzalez got into second and Zanella’s Ty Fisher dropped from a front row position to fifth.

In addition to Gonzalez, Jay Howard Driver Development’s title contender Liam Loiacono and Velocity Racing Development’s Oliver Wheldon had overtaken him on lap one. At the back, International Motorsport’s Hudson Potter went off at turn six but was able to rejoin.

Loiacono passed Wheldon at turn 10, and on lap two Fisher regained a place by getting back past him then DEForce’s Patricio Gonzalez relegated him to fifth.

Fisher was already almost a second behind Gonzalez, who in turn was 2.12 seconds behind Escorpioni as lap three began. Wheldon continued to lose ground, being passed by DEForce’s Vilho Aatola in a canny move exiting turn two then falling behind VRD team-mate Joao Vergara as well.

Wheldon spent most of lap four side-by-side with Patricio Gonzalez who he got ahead of to recover back to fifth. He was soon close to the top three again, as JHDD’s JT Hoskins had an issue that led to him stopping off-track after turn two and triggering a caution period.

Escorpioni’s 2.5s lead was wiped out, but he did not need to pay attention to his mirrors much on the lap eight restart as Rodrigo Gonzalez succumbed to Loiacono and his brother overtook Wheldon before even reaching the start-finish line.

It took three laps to build a one-second lead this time, and it was up to 1.5s on lap 13 when Potter crashed out at turn two after contact with Exclusive Autosport’s Kaylee Countryman and the remaining laps had to run behind the pace car.

There was a train of cars from third down to eighth following the lap eight restart, with Fisher practically rubbing Rodrigo Gonzalez as he tried attacking him while also defending from those behind. Vergara overtook Aatola at turn two on lap 11 for seventh place, and on the back straight the group ran side-by-side in pairs.

After turns 10 and 11, Patricio Gonzalez emerged in fourth ahead of Fisher and Wheldon. On the final lap of racing, Wheldon was able to clear both as Aatola lost out to Zanella’s Diego Guiot and then Exclusive’s Brenden Cooley.

Andretti Global’s Dennis Hauger was fastest in Indy Nxt’s second practice session at Portland on Saturday.

Practice ended 10 minutes early after Andretti Cape’s returning driver Michael d’Orlando brought out red flags. Having just set a lap that put him in sixth place, he went off at turn 10 and hit the tyre barriers hard. He was able to get out of his car unassisted, and there was no restart after the red flags had waved.

Hauger spent the entire session at the top of the order. He could not match the laptime set to lead the way in FP1, his best effort of 1m03.2252s being 0.3614 seconds slower than what he achieved on Friday.

Second place changed hands multiple times. HMD Motorsports’ Caio Collet held the position early on, then was bettered by Chip Ganassi Racing’s Bryce Aron. Just before the stopped, Abel Motorsport’s Callum Hedge jumped up the order to be Hauger’s closest rival and was 0.1152s off his pace.

Aron improved with his final lap but remained third fastest, ahead of Abel Motorsports with Force Indy’s Myles Rowe and Collet.

Missing at the top of the order was Salvador de Alba. The Andretti Global driver spent 10 minutes in the pits midway through the session as his team tried to deal with a braking issue. He was able to get back out on track and completed a total of 20 laps, the same number as Hauger. However, he was far slower than his team-mate as he ended FP2 in 18th place and 1.6s off the pace.

Jack William Miller (Abel with Miller Vinatieri Motorsports) was seventh fastest, just ahead of Jordan Missing (Abel).

HMD’s debuting Nicholas Monteiro was the last driver within a second of Hauger in 11th place.
