Elite Motorsport’s Ary Bansal clinched the GB4 title in the final race of the season at Donington Park, while Leandro Juncos claimed a maiden win.

In a deciding contest rescheduled from the previous round at Brands Hatch, Juncos led home his team-mate Daniel Guinchard for a Hillspeed one-two, while third was enough for Bansal to become champion.

Pace Performance’s Stefan Bostandjiev led away from pole at the start, as Juncos moved ahead of Fortec Motorsports’ Jack Taylor into second. Taylor locked up and ran wide into Redgate, losing further ground to Alex O’Grady and Dayton Coulthard.

Juncos challenged Bostandjiev further around the lap through Macleans and Coppice, and O’Grady made it a three-wide battle for the lead into Fogarty. Juncos prevailed to move ahead, while Bostandjiev and O’Grady both missed the corner – the latter tumbling down the order with front wing damage.

Bostandjiev held off Taylor for second after rejoining, but there pair then collided into Old Hairpin on lap two, with Taylor’s car ending upside down in the gravel trap. That resulted in the safety car being deployed, and racing resumed with nine minutes remaining.

Guinchard eventually snatched second from Coulthard, and applied pressure on Juncos for the final two laps but could not find a way by, ending the season third in the standings despite leading the way at the beginning of the weekend.

Bansal demoted Coulthard to fourth before the finish, while Phelps also missed out on the title by finishing fifth – though he pipped Guinchard to runner-up spot.

Arden’s Leon Wilson was sixth ahead of Thomas Ingram Hill and Jason Pribyl, while Alex Kattoulas survived an early collision before coming home ninth.

Fortec’s Lucas Magnussen was 10th ahead of Josh McLean and Ava Dobson, who ended the season as the top female driver in the championship to earn a €50,000 prize fund towards an F1 Academy drive next year.

Rodin Motorsport’s Alex Ninovic wrapped up the GB3 title with a round to spare at Donington Park, as Lucas Fluxa took a maiden win.

Needing to outscore Patrick Heuzenroeder in race three, Ninovic’s task was made easier by his chief rival being eliminated in a four-car opening lap crash.

Hillspeed’s Fluxa converted reversed-grid pole into the lead at the start, while Bart Harrison took second away from Liam McNeilly.

Ninovic started three places behind Heuzenroeder in 12th, made a good start to pass the Xcel driver immediately, and he was up to eighth by the time he reached McLean’s.

Heuzenroeder tangled with Argenti with Prema’s Reza Seewooruthun at Fogarty, resulting in both cars spinning across the track. In the ensuing chaos behind, Rodin’s Abbi Pulling was launched over the top of Flynn Jackes’ car before sliding into the barriers.

All four drivers walked away unscathed, and a lengthy safety car period followed as their cars were recovered.

Racing resumed for a short period before the race was neutralised once more, as Rodin’s Gianmarco Pradel found the barriers at Coppice.

There was five minutes of allotted time remaining when the track returned to green, and Xcel’s Jack Sherwood immediately tried to snatch second from Harrison into Redgate. He made another attempt into Old Hairpin, but ended up slipping to fourth behind McNeilly.

The front five remained nose to tail until the finish, with Fluxa leading home Harrison, McNeilly, Sherwood and Keanu Al Azhari.

JHR Developments’ Noah Lisle finished sixth, and Ninovic gained one further place to seventh to comfortably clinch the title. Max Taylor finished eighth, with Red Bull junior Enzo Tarnvanichkul and Kai Daryanani completing the top 10.

Elite Motorsport’s Ary Bansal closed in on the GB4 title by winning the penultimate race at the Donington Park finale.

Bansal inherited the championship lead before the race even started. That was because Hillspeed’s Daniel Guinchard was handed a 30s track limits penalty in race two, in lieu of drive-through, demoting him to 19th.

It also dropped Guinchard to third in the standings behind Bansal and Phelps heading into race three, with six points separating the trio.

ADM’s Jason Pribyl converted his reversed-grid pole into the lead at the start, while KMR Sport’s inexperienced Lewis Wherrell was slow away from the outside of the front row and lost several places.

Fortec Motorsports’ Thomas Ingram Hill held off Bansal for second into Redgate, but made slight contact with Pribyl at Macleans while attempting to grab the lead.

That dropped him to third behind Bansal, who then challenged Pribyl through the final three corners, forcing his rival into a mistake and grabbing the lead before lap one was completed.

Ingram Hill soon dispatched Pribyl for second, but he had no answer to Bansal who held a two-second lead when the safety was deployed late on due to Pace Performance’s John O’Donnell retiring in a collision at the hairpin with Flame Arikkala. Officials then ended the contest early by bringing out red flags.

Bansal took his fourth win of the season to extend his championship lead to eight points over Phelps, who gained eight places to fourth, with Guinchard finishing one place behind him.

KMR Sport’s Alex O’Grady finished third despite a three-car clash at Goddards which sent Pribyl and Fortec’s Jack Taylor tumbling down the order.

Hillspeed’s Leandro Juncos was sixth ahead of Leon Wilson, and Alex Kattoulas produced a double overtake on Douglas duo Lucas Blakeley and Dayton Coulthard to finish eighth.

The title will be decided later on Sunday in a rescheduled contest from the previous round at Brands Hatch.

Rodin Motorsport’s Alex Ninovic moved to within touching distance of the GB3 crown after overcoming a jump-start penalty to win again at Donington Park.

With JHR Developments’ Patrick Heuzenroeder finishing fourth, Ninovic extended his championship lead to 99 points, and he will clinch the title with a round to spare if he outscores his nearest rival by three points in the final race of the weekend.

Argenti with Prema’s Reza Seewooruthun lined up from pole, but he was beaten to Redgate by Ninovic who moved before the lights went out. Fortec Motorsports’ Liam McNeilly also jumped the start from row two, but still lost a place to Hitech GP’s Deagen Fairclough.

Ninovic pulled out a 2.9-second advantage over the first four laps before a brief safety car period due to JHR Developments’ Kai Daryanani striking trouble at Melbourne hairpin. The race resumed on lap six, by which time Ninovic and McNeilly had been handed 10s penalties.

Having romped clear, Ninovic crucially extended his lead to over 10s on the penultimate lap, and he edged further away on the final tour. His eventual winning margin was 1.1s after having his penalty applied, while Seewooruthun kept Fairclough at bay to retain second by 0.4s.

A frenetic battle raged behind the front three at various stages. Velocity Racing’s Patricio Gonzalez initially ran fifth behind McNeilly before losing out to Heuzenroeder and Lucas Fluxa, but reclaimed the place by diving up the inside of the pair into Melbourne. Heuzenroeder fought back two corners later into Redgate to shuffle Gonzalez to sixth.

Heuzenroeder set his sights on McNeilly following the safety car period, eventually making his move into Fogarty on lap 10. Gonzalez made it a three-wide battle into Melbourne, where Heuzenroeder prevailed and then maintained fourth until the finish.

McNeilly was fifth on-the-road, but he was demoted eight places by his penalty, while Gonzalez lost a further place to Fluxa and came home sixth. Hitech’s Keanu Al Azhari was seventh ahead of Jack Sherwood, Max Taylor and Gianmarco Pradel.

VRD’s Enzo Tarnvanichkul recovered from a formation lap collision and a further trip through the gravel to edge out Abbi Pulling to 11th. The Red Bull junior required a front wing change after rear-ending JHR Development’s Noah Lisle, who failed to start the race as a result.

Arden’s Leon Wilson won an epic second GB4 contest at Donington Park in which all three title contenders were penalised.

Elite Motorsport’s Isaac Phelps had looked set to complete an important comeback victory after initially making a slow start from pole, but he was denied by a five-second penalty at the chequered flag for exceeding track limits.

That handed Wilson his second GB4 victory ahead of Phelps, who reclaimed second in the standings while his team-mate and title rival Ary Bansal’s own recovery drive was undone by two track limits penalties.

Hillspeed’s Daniel Guinchard also lost ground due to both a late clash with Bansal and three track limits penalties that left him a points-free 21st and meant he dropped from first to third in the standings. Bansal, despite finishing ninth, moved to the top of the points table.

Guinchard had started fifth following a three-place grid penalty for colliding with Phelps in race one, and he held the position once the lights went out.

Phelps slipped to third behind Wilson and Leandro Juncos, while Bansal produced a stunning early charge up the order from seventh.

The Indian swept around the outside of Guinchard into Macleans for fifth, outbraked Alex O’Grady into Fogarty, and almost snatched third before lap one was completed when Phelps locked up and ran wide at Melbourne hairpin.

The Elite duo continued to lock horns on lap two, allowing Guinchard – who had dispatched O’Grady –  to join the battle. Having remained ahead, Phelps eventually pulled clear of his two title rivals by moving ahead of Juncos into second.

He caught Wilson with six minutes of the race remaining, and after making several overtaking attempts he eventually prevailed around the outside of Macleans to take the lead.

Phelps’ penalty was announced on the final lap, and his 2.2s gap to Wilson at the finish was not enough to keep hold of victory.

Having prevailed in a frenetic three-way battle with Juncos, Guinchard and Bansal almost collided as they diced over third. Guinchard tried to make a move exiting Old Hairpin on the final lap, but as Bansal moved across to defend he ended up on the grass and lost out to Juncos, O’Grady and Thomas Ingram Hill.

Bansal took the chequered flag in third, but was demoted six places after all penalties were applied. Juncos had second before he too was penalised, while ADM’s Jason Pribyl was eighth on-the-road but was eventually made runner-up.

O’Grady, Ingram Hill and Douglas Motorsport’s Lucas Blakeley were all also penalised, bringing Pace Performance’s Stefan Bostandjiev up to third ahead of Arden’s Ava Dobson.

Alex Kattoulas finished 11th after going off the road while battling Pribyl early on, and his own penalty meant he was only promoted to eighth, and race one winner Dayton Coulthard recovered from an early pitstop to be classified 13th.

Dayton Coulthard climbed from sixth on the grid to score his first car racing victory in a thrilling opening race of GB4’s Donington Park finale.

The Douglas Motorsport driver led home Elite Motorsport’s Ary Bansal, who strengthened his title hopes by charging from ninth to second, while Lucas Blakeley completed a double podium for Douglas on his GB4 return.

Chief title rivals Isaac Phelps (Elite) and Daniel Guinchard (Hillspeed) started alongside each other on the front row, with Phelps making a slightly slow getaway but fending off Guinchard into Redgate.

The pair ran nose-to-tail down the Craner Curves before Guinchard tagged the rear of Phelps’ car approaching Old Hairpin, sending them both off the road. The pair rejoined well down the order.

Arden’s Leon Wilson profited from the incident to lead from Coulthard, who had swept ahead of Blakeley before inheriting second.

The safety car was soon deployed due to a separate lap one collision, with KMR Sport’s Alex O’Grady tagging Fortec Motorsports’ Jack Taylor into a race-ending spin at Redgate before retiring himself further around the lap.

Wilson initially edged half a second clear once racing resumed on lap four but he was soon reeled in by Coulthard, who was closely followed by Blakeley and Bansal.

After applying pressure for a couple of laps, Coulthard dived to the inside of Wilson into Old Hairpin to snatch the lead, and then resisted renewed challenges from his pursuer into Macleans, and again further around the lap at Melbourne hairpin

By now, Bansal had taken third away from Blakeley following a dice that lasted for three corners. He then set his sights on Wilson, lunging up the inside to grab second at Redgate on the penultimate lap, and the battle allowed Coulthard to build a one-second advantage

Bansal halved the deficit on the final lap but had to settle for second, as Coulthard became the 11th different winner of 2025.

Wilson faded further and lost out to Blakeley, who marked his first car racing start in more than a year with third. Fortec’s Thomas Ingram Hill finished fifth ahead of Leandro Juncos, Alex Kattoulas and Enzo Hallman.

Phelps recovered to pass Pace Performances’ Stefan Bostandjiev for ninth on the final lap while Guinchard came home one place behind Luca Magnussen in 12th.

Guinchard’s championship lead has been reduced to just five points heading into Sunday’s three races, with Bansal moving up one place to second ahead of Phelps, who is 13 points further behind.

Rodin Motorsport’s Alex Ninovic won behind the safety car in the opening GB3 race of the weekend at Donington Park.

The Australian had pulled over five seconds clear of Argenti with Prema’s Reza Seewooruthun before the late intervention, but he faces a post-race investigation for failing to follow the race director’s instructions.

Ninovic made good use of pole to gain a clear lead into Redgate, while a three-wide battle raged behind him between Seewooruthun, JHR Developments’ Noah Lisle and Xcel Motorsport’s Patrick Heuzenroeder. 

Seewooruthun prevailed to take second, while Heuzenroeder slipped to fifth further around the opening tour after Hitech GP’s Deagen Fairclough swept around the outside of him into Fogarty esses.

The safety car was deployed at the end of lap two, as Fortec Motorsports’ debutant Liam McNeilly spun into the gravel trap at Coppice.

Ninovic quickly edged clear once green flag racing resumed on lap five, and Fairclough dived up the inside of Lisle for third into Melbourne hairpin.

The duo continued to lock horns at the start of the next lap, with Lisle driving around the outside into Redgate to reclaim the place, while Fairclough was left to fend off a challenge from Heuzenroeder into Old Hairpin.

Behind them, Red Bull junior Enzo Tarnvanichkul and Xcel’s Jack Sherwood clashed while contesting sixth, resulting in the pair bouncing over the grass and losing ground.

The battle for fourth continued for the next few laps before Heuzenroeder performed a switchback move exiting Redgate to take the position away from Fairclough into Coppice. Having run wide, Fairclough also lost two further places at Fogarty to Keanu Al Azhari and Lucas Fluxa.

As he started to close in on Heuzenroeder, Al Azhari ran wide at Old Hairpin, bounced over the edge of the gravel trap, before spinning across the circuit and into the barriers.

That brought out the safety car for a second time, and there was not enough time to clear Al Azhari’s car before the chequered flag was waved.

Ninovic took victory ahead of Seewooruthun and Lisle. With Heuzenroeder finishing fourth, Ninovic extended his championship lead to 85 points.

Fluxa held off Fairclough to finish fifth on his first start for Hillspeed – matching his best result from contesting the first six rounds with Argenti.

Having been excluded from qualifying, Rodin’s Abbi Pulling and Gianmarco Pradel recovered through the field to finish seventh and eighth respectively, while Tarnvanichkul slipped back to ninth. The Indy Nxt-experienced Max Taylor climbed from 16th to finish 10th for Race Lab in the team’s first GB3 start.

Bart Harrison was 13th on his GB3 bow for JHR, while fellow debutant Kabir Anurag (Xcel) stalled at the start and eventually came home 17th.

Isaac Phelps boosted his GB4 title ambitions by taking two poles in the final qualifying session of the season at Donington Park.

The Elite Motorsport driver was over 0.2 seconds quicker than chief rival and championship leader Daniel Guinchard, who will start alongside him in both races one and two.

Phelps also topped the two-day pre-event test, setting a best time of 1m28.381s on Thursday, with rain preventing anybody from challenging his time on day two.

KMR Sport’s Alex O’Grady denied Phelps in session one with a late effort of 1m28.887s. The latter responded with two improvements in the final minutes of session two to be 0.3s quicker than Arden’s Leon Wilson, who led session three with a 1m28.727s – edging out Guinchard by just 0.003s.

Phelps, Guinchard and fellow title protagonist Ary Bansal topped a session each on Friday.

Esports star Lucas Blakeley – a three-time race winner in GB4’s previous-generation car last season –  also shone in testing after confirming a championship return this weekend with Douglas Motorsport.

Guinchard led the early stages of Saturday’s wet and windy qualifying with a 1m41.770s before the red flags were shown due to KMR Sport’s Lily May Watkins coming to a halt a Goddards bend.

Despite the persistent rain, Phelps eclipsed Guinchard’s benchmark by registering a 1m41.131s with three minutes remaining, with Blakeley and Bansal surging up to second and third. Guinchard soon reclaimed top spot by 0.139s, but Phelps responded with a 1m40.757s to snatch race one pole as the chequered flag fell.

Wilson pipped Blakeley to third by 0.1s, with Leandro Juncos, Dayton Coulthard and O’Grady close behind. Phelps’ second-best laptime was good enough to also beat Guinchard to race two pole, with Wilson third ahead of Juncos, O’Grady and Blakeley.

Two drivers are making their GB4 debuts this weekend. Karting star Lewis Wherrell is racing for KMR Sport, and qualified eighth for race two. He is replacing Megan Bruce due to her taking up the opportunity to debut in F1 Academy this weekend in Singapore. John O’Donnell, who has previous F4 experience in the USA, has joined Pace Performance at Donington.

Rodin Motorsport’s Alex Ninovic and Argenti with Prema’s Reza Seewooruthun claimed a GB3 pole each in wet and windy conditions at Donington Park.

Two days of pre-event testing preceded Saturday’s qualifying, and it was Hitech GP’s Keanu Al Azhari who set the pace. Xcel Motorsport’s Partick Heuzenroeder registered a 1m22.789s lap in between two red flag periods to lead session one by 0.362 seconds from Kai Daryanani and Abbi Pulling who both posted identical times.

Championship leader Ninovic lowered the pace to 1m22.565s moments before session two was ended early by red flags. Having been best of the rest, Al Azhari then beat Ninovic’s benchmark by 0.044s with less than five minutes remaining of session three. The Emirati improved further to 1m22.379s as the chequered flag, with Ninovic 0.2s behind.

Friday’s running was disrupted by persisitent rain, with Ninovic, Al Alzhari and Deagen Fairclough topping a session each. Al Azhari ended testing 0.186s clear of Ninovic, with Fairclough, Heuzenroeder and Red Bull junior Enzo Tarnvanickul all within half a second of the pace.

The changeable conditions continued into qualifying, with drivers initially heading out on slicks in Q1. Heuzenroeder led at the halfway stage with a 1m25.219s, but soon he was shuffled down the order. JHR Developments’ Noah Lisle knocked a second off the benchmark, and Ninovic lowered the pace further to 1m23.878s just before team-mate Gianmarco Pradel brought proceedings to a halt by crashing at Fogarty esses.

Rain started to fall once the track returned to green, and Ninovic retained his 0.164s gap at the top to Lisle, with Seewooruthun, Heuzenroeder and Fairclough completing the top six.

Drivers fitted wet tyres for Q2, and Lisle led Seewooruthun by 0.035s seven minutes in. He remained ahead until three minutes remaining, when he was eclipsed by Ninovic, and then Seewooruthun – the latter clinching race two pole by almost half a second with a 1m34.174s.

Fortec Motorsports’ Liam McNeilly impressed on his GB3 debut by clinching third late on, with Fairclough fourth ahead of Lisle and Tarnvanichkul.

GB3 returnee Max Taylor will start the first two races from 18th and 16th respectively for debuting team Race Lab.

Rodin duo Pulling and Pradel, as well as Elite Motorsport’s Flynn Jackes and Bianca Bustamante, were subsequently excluded from both qualifying sessions for failing to attend post-qualification weighing within the 15-minute deadline.

Sportscar racing team Race Lab has announced it will run a car in single-seaters for the first time this weekend, joining the GB3 championship with Max Taylor at the wheel.

Race Lab will enter a car loaned from Velocity Racing Development, with Taylor making his second GB3 outing at Donington Park after a cameo at the same track with Arden last year. He will be stepping down the ladder to make his return.

The American did six Indy Nxt races with HMD Motorsports, with a best finish of fourth, and came 20th in the standings. He was USF Juniors champion and third in USF2000 last year, and sixth in USF Pro 2000 alongside his Indy Nxt campaign.

“I’m really looking forward to having another go in GB3 this weekend,” said Taylor, who turned 18 today.

“While I’ve driven at Donington Park on several occasions now, the car has obviously changed since I last raced there, so there’s a lot for us all to learn in testing. But I’m confident we can put it all together and exceed the results from a year ago. It’s great to be back at a European event and to also be helping a new team make their mark.”

Race Lab, owned by Lee Frost and led by GT racer Euan Hankey who has been a class champion in the European Le Mans Series, arrives in GB3 after establishing itself in British GT, the GT4 European Series and single-make McLaren series.

“As a team we’re very excited to be racing in single-seaters for the first time,” said Hankey.

“My own racing career began in UK single-seaters, so it will be nice to be in that sort of paddock again and amongst some familiar faces I’m sure. While it’s our first time in GB3, we have plenty of collective experience to fall back on, and I’m confident we can give a good showing of ourselves as we evaluate future options for the team.”

Following this weekend’s races, the team could enter GB3’s finale at Monza on October 18/19.
