Formula 4 race-winner Martin Molnar has completed Rodin Motorsport’s 2026 GB3 line-up.

The 17-year-old began his career in karting, where he won the South Garda Winter Cup and was WSK Champions Cup runner-up on OK karts in 2023 and was a finalist in the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy shootout.

Molnar then stepped up to single-seaters and shone during two seasons with Virtuosi Racing in British F4.

In 2025 he took the rookie cup having scored five outright podiums en route to eighth in the standings. The Hungarian racer improved to third overall last year with two victories and eight other podiums, and also came 13th in F4 Middle East.

“I am really looking forward to the upcoming season and excited to continue my career with the top team in GB3,” said Molnar.

“I believe an extremely exciting year lies ahead of us; during last autumn’s tests, we immediately found a strong working relationship with the team, and everyone has been highly professional and composed.”

He joins GB3 race-winner Maxim Rehm and series sophomore Abbi Pulling at Rodin, which has been the home of each of the last three champions. 

“We’re happy to welcome Martin to Rodin Motorsport for the 2026 GB3 season,” said the team’s sporting director Benn Huntingford.

“He’s shown strong potential and a mature approach to his racing and we believe this environment will allow him to continue developing while competing at a high level. We’re looking forward to seeing how he progresses with the team.”

Meanwhile, this year’s GB4 grid has grown to 16 cars, with multiple karting champion Cian Geraghty joining Scorpio Motorsport for his first season in single-seaters.

The 17-year-old won the Kartmasters Grand Prix and came third in an X30 senior kart in both the British karting championship and the IAME Euro Series in 2024. Last year he added further titles in the Ultimate Karting Championship and Rotax National Trophy, and finished fourth on his car racing debut during an Mazda MX-5 Supercup cameo at Oulton Park.

He will partner BRSCC Fiesta Junior graduate Archie Davies at Scorpio, which is returning for its first full GB4 campaign after contesting the 2022 season finale.

“After a strong few years of senior karting, I am looking forward to making the step up to the GB4 championship for my first season of car racing,” said Geraghty. “I am really looking forward to racing with Scorpio Motorsport and seeing what we can do together.

“We had a really positive first day in the car at Snetterton and I am looking forward to building on that through the winter testing before round one. A massive thankyou to everyone at Scorpio Motorsport for everything they have done to give me this opportunity for 2026.”

Fred Green will move from Elite Motorsport’s Ginetta Junior line-up to its GB4 squad for 2026.

Green, nephew of former DTM racer and 2004 Formula 3 Euro Series champion Jamie Green, will make his first steps into single-seater racing after starring in Ginetta’s entry-level sportscar series this year.

Having been chosen as Ginetta Junior’s scholarship driver for 2025, the 16-year-old became the most successful scholar in the programme’s history by amassing nine wins, seven of which were in the last nine races, to be championship runner-up.

Green also achieved success on the British karting scene this year by winning both the Kartmasters Grand Prix and the ‘O’ Plate at Whitton Mill. He is Elite’s second signing for next season, joining Israeli racer Matan Achituv.

“After a strong year in Ginetta Junior, and with the support of Elite Motorsport and MotorSport Vision, I’m incredibly excited and grateful to step up to the GB4 championship,” said Green.

“I’m continuing with Elite for 2026 because I’ve really enjoyed the team environment and the relationships I’ve built throughout the year. I know they can give me a competitive package to have another successful year.

“My aim in 2026 is to win the driver’s championship while at the same time contributing to the teams’ championship title race with the ultimate goal of helping Elite secure the title for a second consecutive year.”

“I’ve learned a huge amount this season, especially in developing my racecraft and leading races under pressure. GB4 testing at Donington, Snetterton and Silverstone has helped me take big steps forward and I’m improving every lap as I learn how to get the most out of a GB4 car.”

Returning team Scorpio Motorsport has this week unveiled Archie Davies as its first driver. The 16-year-old has spent two years racing touring cars in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior championship, coming eighth in 2024 and improving to fourth this year. He will swap tin-tops for single-seaters next year, having done a test programme in F4 and GB4 machinery.

“I’m really excited to be joining Scorpio Motorsport for the 2026 GB4 season,” said Davies. “After two great years in Fiesta Junior, stepping up to GB4 feels like the perfect next challenge.”

“The team has a strong reputation and I’m confident we can work well together to be competitive from the start. I’m looking forward to getting going and seeing what we can achieve.”

Britain’s GB4 series for first-generation Formula 4 cars has attracted two more teams for its 2024 season.

The first is Idola Motorsport, which arrives from the Praga Cup UK sportscar series. It won the title there last year, running YouTuber Jimmy Broadbent and Gordie Mutch.

The Cheshire-based and Al Boulton and John Whatley-led team will move into GB4 in partnership with Arden, a team with a long single-seater history including years in Formula 3000 and GP2 and currently races in GB4’s parent series GB3 in a partnership with American squad Velocity Racing Development.

Idola will start its GB4 venture with a single car, bought from rival team Evans GP, but wants to be able to run two cars in the series.

The second GB4 newcomer is Indian Warriors Racing, which will be based in Milton Keynes and will enter in partnership with Scorpio Motorsport who have ran Rossoverde Racing’s entry the past two seasons.

Indian Warriors has already been testing with Indian drivers Prateek Verma and Mohammad Anas Shaikh at several circuits.

“We spent a lot of time evaluating possible options as a team for 2024 and highlighted GB4 as a sensible single-seater option within the UK,” said team owner Rohit Koul.

“We feel the series is continuing to grow as a formula that offers drivers great experience of single-seaters on a fantastic platform.”

Scorpio’s team principal Jon Pettitt added: “We’re very pleased to be working with Indian Warriors Racing as they look to go racing for the first time. Rohit and his team are showing plenty of ambition, and our established presence in the GB4 paddock from the past couple of seasons will provide them with a strong baseline to work from.”

A private GB4 test was also recently run by Scorpio at Bedford Autodrome for top karters Matthew Higgins and Kai Hunter.

GB4 will have a new team on the grid for its season finale at Donington Park this weekend, with Scorpio Motorsport running a car for Ginetta Junior racer Aqil Alibhai.

Scorpio has already had some involvement in GB4 this season by providing support to Rossoverde Racing, who have fielded Christian Lester at selected rounds.

Alibhai finished on the podium five times and claimed a pole position en route to sixth in the Ginetta Junior standings this year, driving for Elite Motorsport in his first racing campaign out of karts.

The South African is coached by Kokoro Performance, which also works with drivers such as FIA Formula 3 racer Zak O’Sullivan, and he is the second series graduate confirmed to be making their GB4 debut at Donington following last week’s announcement that championship runner-up Will Macintyre will make the step up with Elite.

“It’s a dream come true to have the opportunity to race a single-seater car for the first time,” said Alibhai.

“I have completed an intense training programme these past few weeks with my driver coaches, and my continued focus is on understanding the car and feeling its limits.

“I know I’m in good hands with Kokoro Performance and the Scorpio Motorsport team and hope I can make a success of this weekend.”

Scorpio’s previous single-seater experience includes British Formula 4, where it also ran a car for Lester in conjunction with Rossoverde in 2018, and the Formula Renault BARC championship, winning that series twice. More recently the team has raced in sportscars.

“We’ve been working very hard behind the scenes to return the team to single-seater racing and we’ve dipped our toes into GB4 this year to get a feel for the cars and the championship,” said Scorpio team principal Jon Pettit,

“We’ve run a number of initiatives behind the scenes to drum up some driver interest and are delighted to have secured a deal with Aqil and his management team, who of course we know very well from our FR2.0 days. Aqil has done a great job in Ginetta Junior this year, and we’re looking forward to working with him and assisting his development at Donington Park.”
